Camden street scheme benefits estimated

Transport planner JMP has calculated that public realm improvements made to Great Queen Street in the London Borough of Camden have brought economic benefits of between £6.3m and possibly as much as £28.4m to residents and retailers, depending upon their proximity to the scheme. One way in which this economic uplift was achieved was explained by one of the retailers in a survey in JMP’s study, who stated that by removing the guard railings and widening the footway outside...
