School transport: freedom of choice

Local Authorities and schools will be free to decide for themselves how and whether to take forward school travel planning work. The document notes that 91% of schools in England have produced school travel plans as part of the previous Government’s Travelling to School initiative, the final report of which was released by the DfT this week.
