Aberdeen City Council is to consult bus and freight operators on a possible Low Emission Zone covering the Air Quality Management Area in the city centre. Consultant Aecom has been advising the council on options including LEZs focused on buses or HGVs. A council spokeswoman said a scheme covering both types of vehicle was also a possibility, as were non-LEZ measures such as removing cars from certain streets.
