The advantage of living in Tamworth is that I have relatively easy access to a motorway network that includes the M42, M6, M40 and M5. It’s now been over four years since Active Traffic Management (ATM) was first introduced on the M42. During this time I’ve experienced the variable speed limits being switched on and off many, many times at various times of the day and night. More recently ATM has been rolled out on the M6, which I now encounter between Junction 4A and 5 on my route...
