The Scottish Government has given the go-ahead to completing one of the last remaining ‘missing links’ in Central Scotland’s motorway network. Finance secretary John Swinney announced last week that the Government will complete the M8 between Edinburgh and Glasgow by upgrading the 13km of A8 between Baillieston and Newhouse to motorway standard.
