Elected mayors could muscle in on transport in 12 biggest cities

Far-reaching Reforms to how local transport is planned and delivered in England are contained in the Localism Bill published last week.

One of the biggest changes will be in the 12 largest English cities outside London where the Government wants to install elected mayors.
