Scots free travel policy ‘a poor use of money’

Audit Scotland has urged ministers to look at ways of cutting the cost of the nation’s free bus travel scheme for the elderly and disabled.

The body says ministers should “consider whether the money spent on national concessionary travel and the impact it has is the best use of public resources at a time of budget restraints”.
