We have reached a point where most of us agree that cashless transactions are the way forward. There is still much debate about which new format will triumph but the direction of the trend is now clear. Whether through smartcards, mobile ticketing or contactless debit cards, cash transactions look set to fade away over the next few years and a golden cashless future beckons.
