Britain's only toll road is losing millions of pounds a year, a fact that calls into question the Government’s enthusiasm for further toll roads, according to a new report.
Midland Expressway Ltd has lost about £26m a year in each of the six years since the M6 Toll opened in 2003, says the report by environmental transport group the Campaign for Better Transport.
