Norfolk County Council wants constituent district councils to introduce or increase on-street parking charges in order to make civil parking enforcement financially viable.
Norfolk’s director of environment, transport and development, Mike Jackson, told the cabinet last week that financial projections indicated that civil parking enforcement across the county would operate at a loss, with a deficit of £122,000 in year two rising to £172,000 in year five.
