SWEDISH BUS and truck builder Scania has revealed that it is expecting a hostile takeover bid from German rival manufacturer MAN.
It is understood that MAN has already approached Scania’s largest shareholder, car maker Volkswagen, which owns 34% of the business. News of the possible takeover has already swelled Scania’s value to £5.6bn, whilst MAN’s shares have also risen by 2.5% making it worth £6bn.
