MAN bribe claims deepen

An investigation into bribery allegations at German bus and truck manufacturer MAN is far larger than previously thought with more than 100 individuals now being implicated.

Prosecutors in Munich claim that MAN had a system of bribery in place to boost the sales of buses and trucks across Europe. It is claimed that the manufacturer paid out more than £15m to customers across Europe between 2002 and 2005.

Payments are alleged to have been made to both MAN marketing staff and customers...
