Construction of the Pont Y Werin pedestrian and cycle bridge over the River Ely in Cardiff has been completed. The 134-metre-long bridge has a central opening section to allow boats to pass through and connects the Vale of Glamorgan with the International Sports Village in Cardiff Bay. The bridge has been jointly funded by Cardiff County Council, the Vale of Glamorgan Council and Sustrans and will open to the public in June.
