Transport isn’t the biggest issue, but it can bite

Transport is an area which is traditionally seen as a bit part player in elections, and that is unlikely to change this time. A recent survey of 141 Tory candidates asking them to rate their personal priorities saw ‘better road and rail services’ ranked 17th in a list of 20 policy areas.
