Car wash businesses are being urged to take steps to avoid polluting waterways with run-off in a new set of guidelines from the Environment Agency. The Pollution Prevention Guidelines (PPG13) cover all methods of vehicle washing and cleaning, including automatic wash systems, washing by hand and use of high pressure hoses.
