Forth public transport plans under scrutiny

Transport Scotland and local authorities in South East Scotland are at odds over the status of public transport improvements associated with the proposed Forth replacement crossing.

Transport Scotland is currently working on a cross-Forth public transport strategy to meet some of the demand for cross-Forth travel once the new Forth road bridge opens – anticipated to be in 2016.

But regional transport partnership SEStran, Fife, Edinburgh and West Lothian have agreed a joint position...
