Seven contractors have been invited to bid for building the Heysham to M6 link road scheme. They are Bam Nuttall, Balfour Beatty/Birse, Costain, Laing O’Rourke, Morgan Est, Roadbridge/Sisk Joint Venture and Skanska. A 4.8km-long two-lane dual carriageway road will connect the previously built section of the A683 Heysham to M6 Link, at its junction with the A589 Morecambe Road near Torrisholme, to the M6 junction 34 near Halton.
