Cambridgeshire County Council has begun a four-month trial of a ‘hybrid’ cycle lane that segregates cyclists and motorists with temporary kerbs and hatching.
The trial is taking place on Hills Road bridge, which lies on one of the busiest roads into Cambridge city centre. An estimated 4,000 cyclists cross the bridge each day.
