Blame game launched after Swinney scraps Glasgow Airport rail link

Glasgow based MSPs and Scottish public transport lobbyists have reacted angrily to the announcement by the Scottish Government that the Glasgow Airport Rail Link (GARL) is to be cancelled.

GARL involves building a new 1.9km rail spur linking central Glasgow with a new Glasgow Airport station, as well as upgrading 9km of existing track to allow for greater capacity.
