M1 junction 6a to 10 widening, Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire

Transport Secretary Geoff Hoon has opened the M1 junctions 6a to 10 widening scheme. Most sections between the junctions have been widened from dual three-lanes to dual four-lanes – some sections were already dual four-lanes. The southbound sections between junctions 6A and 7 and between 9 and 10 have been widened and between junctions 8 and 9 both carriageways have been widened.
