Years of lobbying have finally borne fruit for ultra-light rail vehicle manufacturer Parry with the news that its People Mover vehicles will be permanently deployed on the Stourbridge Town-Stourbridge Junction line in the West Midlands.
The operator appointed last week to run the new West Midlands franchise, Govia (a partnership of Go-Ahead (65%) and Keolis (35%)), has pledged to operate the line using Parry People Movers built in nearby Cradley Heath.
