Hammond ready to drive transport on after spending review pit stop

Transport secretary Philip Hammond has a spring in his step following the comprehensive spending review in which transport did better than many observers expected. Andrew Forster caught up with him this week to hear about those Treasury negotiations and what he thinks about a range of other hot topics: high-speed rail, Local Enterprise Partnerships, NATA, buses – and speed cameras

It's a busy day for Philip Hammond in the House of Commons. The Finance Bill is having its third reading and the debate may not finish before midnight. But he’s managed to free up a bit of time to talk to LTT about the DfT’s new spending settlement and hopefully much more besides.
