UK has over 82,000 public chargepoints

Zapmap reports a 27% year-on-year increase across all charger formats

There are now over 82,000 public chargepoints across the UK, according to new data published by mapping and data service Zapmap.

A total of 8,670 new chargepoints were installed in the first six months of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 27%. The EV charging infrastructure now encompasses 82,369 devices at 40,479 locations.
