Bus builder Optare has announced that it is to make up to 160 of its permanent employees at its Blackburn factory redundant in the face of a slow down in demand for its double deck models.
The move by the AIM-listed firm follows recent redundancy announcements made by rivals Wrightbus and Alexander Dennis.
