Underperforming council car parks could be sold off

Surrey Heath is reviewing economic value and costs of parking estate

Surrey Heath Borough Council is has conducted a review of the council’s land and property to identify surplus assets. The council said it is looking to sell any “discretionary ” assets that do not generate revenue.

The council must shed £1.74m this year through savings, reduced interest payments and a further £500,0000 from “service delivery reviews”.
