MEP Bill Etheridge has described Birmingham’s annual parking revenue of more than £13m ‘obscene’. The UKIP MEP for the West Midlands submitted a freedom of information (FOI) request to Birmingham City Council, which revealed that it received £13,204,170 in parking income through fees and charges in 2014/15, with £3,216,213 spent on repairs and maintenance.
