Huddersfield car park closes for six months

A car park in Huddersfield will close for six months to allow for refurbishment work.

Kirklees Council’s Upperhead Row car park is located above the West Yorkshire town's bus station.

The works will include improvements to lifts, stairwells and fire exits.

The project would also see the provision clearer signage, enhanced CCTV and improved fire and emergency lighting.

Parking bays have also been made wider to fit modern vehicles, though this has meant a reduction in the number of spaces...
