Transport for London (TfL) is to increase fines for contraventions on London’s Red Routes in a bid to provide a more effective deterrent that will lead to increased compliance and reduce road danger and congestion.

From 17 January 2022, the cost of a penalty charge notice (PCN) will increase from £130 to £160. The penalty will still be reduced by 50% if paid within 14 days and increased by 50% if paid after 28 days.
