Proposed changes to transport infrastructure south of Cardiff Central include conversion of the current Cardiff Bay branch line to a walking and cycling route modelled on New York’s Highline.

Cardiff Council’s bid for funding from the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund  (LUF) proposes to replace the railway with a street-level route for tram-trains, which are already being constructed for the Core Valley Lines.
