Councillors on Merseytravel have ordered the end of an arrangement that has seen the Integrated Transport Authority fund the managing director’s post of national travel behaviour change organisation ACT TravelWise.
Merseytravel’s former chief executive, Neil Scales, was appointed chairman of ACT TravelWise in 2008. At a later date, and with ACT TravelWise struggling financially, the managing director’s post became funded by the ITA.
