Uncertain future for municipal bus firm

Halton Transport, one of Britain’s last municipal bus operators, faces an uncertain future with the Cheshire operator posting a £620,000 loss in the year to the end of March 2019.

The BBC reports that Halton Borough Council, the company’s arms-length owner, was due to meet directors this week.
