The momentum was hard won, but worth it


 

Cycling is gaining momentum, with schemes being rolled out across the eight Cycle City Ambition areas. In London further Superhighways now seem a certainty, and the network of Quietways, strategically important in getting less confident cyclists on the roads, to be on the ground in 2016. There is growing political support, with transport minister Robert Goodwill recognising the potential of continental-style cycling to get motorists out of their cars and transforming our cities and towns [1]....
