Sometimes as modellers we become a bit blinkered about what is really important to include, or include in detail, in our models. For example, many models still treat the morning peak and the home-to-work trip as the most important time period and trip purpose, whereas in reality the evening peak is often more congested and other trip purposes a larger component of the overall demand than commuting.
