Laing O'Rourke has been awarded the early contractor involvement contract for the M62 junction 6 improvement. The scheme comprises: a link road from the M62 westbound to the M57 northbound; a link road from the M57 southbound to the M62 eastbound; and the realignment of the link road from the gyratory roundabout to the M62 westbound. Work could start in 2007/08 following the publication of Statutory Orders next year and a possible public inquiry.
