Chris Lane has retired as Head of Smart Travel at Transport for West Midlands (TfWM).
During almost 10 years, Lane helped modernise public transport systems in the region, supporting the development of more integrated, technology-driven mobility solutions.
He also worked closely with industry partners, local authorities and operators to improve how people move around the West Midlands.
TfWM said his tenure coincided with a period of major transformation for the region’s transport network, including investment in smarter ticketing, integrated transport systems and innovation programmes designed to support more sustainable and connected travel.
