The A228 Leybourne and West Malling bypass opened on 18 October. A 1.5km dual carriageway road connects the M20 junction 4 to a new roundabout at Park Road to join the 2.6km West Malling bypass, which has been upgraded to dual carriageway as part of the scheme. Meanwhile, work is in progress on the M20 junction 4 improvements. The overbridge is being widened from two lanes to four lanes and will be completed by mid-December.
