Katie Frost has become the first female chief executive of Metroline London since its formation 38 years ago.
She takes over from Sean O’Shea, who is now Chief Commercial Officer of parent ComfortDelGro UK and Ireland.
Frost joins from Network Rail, where she has spent the last five years most recently as Route Director, Anglia, where she led large-scale operations, oversaw major infrastructure programmes and worked closely with industry partners to deliver safe, reliable and resilient services for passengers. Frost takes responsibility for a business that operates around 1,500 buses on 100 routes in the capital and employs almost 5,000 staff.
She has more than two decades of senior leadership experience across the UK transport sector, most recently as Route Director, Anglia at Network Rail, where she led large-scale operations, oversaw major infrastructure programmes and worked closely with industry partners to deliver safe, reliable and resilient services for passengers.
Metroline said Frost’s appointment reflects its ambition to continue building a future focused, sustainable and customer-led organisation, supporting Transport for London’s priorities while responding to the evolving needs of passengers and communities across the capital.
Metroline was formed in 1989 as one of 12 operating business units by London Buses in preparation for privatisation.
