CILT re-boots transport defence connection

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport CILT(UK) has announced the strategic relaunch of its Defence Forum, now renamed the One Defence Forum. It says it wants  to strengthen professional dialogue and collaboration with the defence logistics community.

The initiative aims “to support professional development and future readiness” by sharing insight, experience and lessons from within the logistics sector, with a  focus on unclassified discussion and professional learning.

The Forum will “prioritise meaningful engagement and professional impact” rather than volume of activity, and “develop professional capability aligned with wider UK defence priorities,” bringing together military  personnel, civilian specialists, industry partners, academics and veterans to foster stronger professional conversations and generate insights  benefitting  the wider defence logistics profession.

Dominic McEvoy, Chair of the  Forum, said: “Our focus is on meaningful professional contribution, credible governance,and building capability as a credible professional community within CILT(UK).”
