Scotland set to meet target of introducing 20mph limit on all appropriate roads

Scotland’s target of introducing 20mph on appropriate roads in built up areas by the end of this month will be met on almost all trunk roads but not across local authority roads. Glasgow has a large outstanding workload.

In 2021, the Scottish Government said all appropriate roads would have a safer speed limit of 20mph by the end of 2025/26. LTT asked what percentage of appropriate roads now has a 20mph limit and when all appropriate roads will have a 20mph limit.
