£93m plan for more zero emission buses in Sheffield

More than 180 zero-emission buses are set to be introduced to Sheffield at a cost of nearly £93m as part of plans to modernise the fleet across South Yorkshire.

The Government will provide £33.4m for the scheme, with a further £58.3m coming from South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA).

An additional £26m will be invested by SYMCA in upgrading infrastructure and preparing the Olive Grove bus depot for the 186 new vehicles.
