Read to step down as ChargeUK boss

Vicky Read will be stepping down as Chief Executive of ChargeUK, the sector organisation for chargepoint operators.

Read’s association with the body started when she worked as part of a group of charging sector peers before launching ChargeUK in spring 2023. 

She became the organisation’s Vice-chair for Policy and Communications during its first year and then CEO for the past two years.

Writing on LinkedIn, Read said: “To lead ChargeUK has been the privilege of my career. It’s been a job full of purpose, interest and achievements, alongside all the challenges of running a start-up organisation for a nascent sector in turbulent political times. 

“I’ve been blessed with a talented and dedicated team, and the support and energy of three chairs, dozens of board members and an engaged wider membership.”
