Daniels to head National Transport Trust

Renowned transport specialist Leon Daniels OBE will take over as new Chairman of the National Transport Trust on 1 May 2026. He will succeed Stuart Wilkinson, who has led the organisation for 19 years, overseeing its transition from the Transport Trust to the National Transport Trust. Daniels oversaw major projects at Transport for London (TfL) as Managing Director Surface Transport until his retirement in December 2017. The National Transport Trust was founded in 1965  to promote and encourage the preservation and restoration of Britain’s transport heritage.
