Mike Birch, the Director of Mass Transit for the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA), has quit his post.
He announced his departure on 21 February, after two months of controversy surrounding the scheme, and a critical secret report from the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority that led to a two year delay as the project was ‘re-sequenced’ (LTT932 and 931).
