Older and disabled concessionary passholders in Greater Manchester no longer have to wait until 9.30am to use buses without charge. On 1 March Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham launched free bus travel at any time for passholders following  two trials last year.

During the trials, passholders said that removing time restrictions reduces stress and loneliness while also opening up opportunities for work and volunteering, said Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).
