Liverpool city region’s 100-plus fleet of publicly owned zero emission buses begin to arrive

The first of more than 100 publicly owned electric double-deckers have arrived in the Liverpool City Region ahead of their introduction into passenger service with the new franchised network.

Over the next few months more of the zero emission buses are set to be delivered by UK manufacturers Wrightbus and Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL).

The buses, which are able to run up to 275 miles on a single 90-minute charge, include more space for wheelchair users and prams, audio visual announcements...
