The Government is to contribute £110m in funding towards the £200m North Hykeham Relief Road project in Lincolnshire. The remaining £90m costs will be covered by Lincolnshire County Council, which estimates the project will boost the local economy by £800m. The new dual carriageway will support the delivery of 4,500 homes around Lincoln, it added.
Work will begin next month on the new road between the A46 and A15, with an expected completion date of May 2029.
