£3.97bn dualling of A9 is a priority, says Swinney

Dualling the A9 between Inverness and Perth is a “priority” for the Scottish Government, First Minister John Swinney has re-affirmed. The widened route will create opportunities for local businesses as well as job and training prospects for the communities served by the route, he said.

The £3.97bn project, due to be completed in 2035, will upgrade 83 miles (133km) of road from single to dual carriageway.
