The Bus Services (Wales) Act has received Royal Assent, though Transport for Wales warned of possible delay to starting the bus franchising process.
The new Act goes further than equivalent legislation for England and Scotland in making future ministers responsible for providing all bus services through franchises, direct operation or permits. TfW will be the franchising authority.
