The Highways Agency has published draft Orders and and an Environmental Statement for the A46 Longbridge Island bypass. The 2.5km dual carriageway road will link the eastern and western sections of the A46 and bypass junction 15 of the M40. The bypass will pass under the M40 and include a new roundabout junction with the B4463 and realigned slip roads to and from the existing roundabout over the M40. Work could start in autumn 2007 and take 12 months to complete.
