A newly issued Department for Transport organisation chart indicates the changed structure of its internal rail personnel, with the separation out of the train operating activity.
Whereas previously there were two large rail staff groups called Rail Services Group and Rail Reform Services Group, the two are now depicted under a single Rail Reform Services Groups.
All these people seem to be reporting to Richard Goodman, Director General of the group.
There do not seem to be materially less people involved, and in addition, the DfT still has a Major Rail Projects Group. The chart indicates that Alan Over, who was its Director General, has now been replaced by Dean Creamer.
